Scoular Anderson is an outstandingly succesful illustrator of many genres of children's books - picture books, non-fiction, activity books and fiction.
"As a child I spent most of my time writing stories and illustrating them. Having studied graphic design at Glasgow School of Art, I moved to London to work as an illustrator. My writing/illustrating career began with stories published in Puffin Post magazine. I have written books for many publishers, including the bestselling My First Joke Book for Young Corgi, the How to be a… history series for HarperCollins, and non-fiction for Cambridge University Press. My exciting new project is a young reader Castles and Cannons for Orion Children’s Books.
Not long ago, I returned to live in my home town in Argyll. My wife and I share a house, perched above the Firth of Clyde, accompanied by a grumpy old cat and a far too exuberant Border terrier. For relaxation I work in my garden growing flowers (to paint) and vegetables (to eat)."
