Artists

The Caroline Sheldon Literary Agency represents a thriving portfolio of artists and author-artists, mainly working in children’s books. Their work ranges from full colour picture books, to black and white illustrations for fiction, to work for film and television companies.

Among the services we offer illustrators are:

• Constant contact with editors and art directors through visits and portfolio presentations
• Online gallery at www.carolinesheldonillustrators.co.uk
• Representation at all the major book fairs—London, Bologna, Frankfurt—and regular presentation of the portfolio in New York
• Exploitation of rights in all media
• Negotiation of contracts and advance and royalties
• Advice on career paths and portfolio development
• Advice on which publishers' lists are best suited to particular work

To submit

Submit your work by email to Penny Holroyde or Caroline Sheldon and attach some sample work as JPEG or PDF, and/or link to your online gallery. Include introductory information telling us about yourself and the work you hope to undertake.

We prefer artists’ submissions by email but if you decide to use the post enclose a large SAE for return. Never send original artwork—always copies.

Whilst every care is taken with submissions, we cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage, destruction or delay in their return whatever the cause.
