Kerry Barrett is the author of ten novels, including The Girl in the Picture (HQ) and The Hidden Women (HQ).
In Kerry's latest time-slip historical novel, The Secret Letter (HQ, Feb 2020), school teacher Lizzie moves to Elm Health for a fresh start. When her school is threatened with closure, Lizzie looks to the school's founder, proud Suffragette Esther Watkins, for inspiration. Will Esther give her the strength she needs to save not just the school, but her new beginning too?
Kerry is also writing an exciting new wartime saga series, The Kew Garden Girls (Orion, May 2020) under the name Posy Lovell.
Born in Edinburgh, Kerry moved to London as a child, where she now lives with her husband and two sons. A massive bookworm growing up, she used to save up her pocket money to buy the latest Sweet Valley High, then read the whole book on the bus home and have to wait months for the next one. Eventually she realised it would be easier to write her own stories.
